Corporate security: an integral part of ZEUS® Workforce Management

The annual conferences for the system advisors and consultants of the ISGUS group of companies are traditionally also the platforms on which trends and innovations from ISGUS development are presented. In 2021, this part of the events focused on corporate security. In summary, the ISGUS portfolio in the area of access control and security has been expanded by several innovations.

ZEUS® Security Monitor

Probably the most highly regarded innovation is the web-based ZEUS® Security Monitor. Even in the standard version, data points for doors, windows, lock bolts, motorised latches, cameras as well as links can be freely positioned on graphics such as floor plans. Data points are linked to the sensors and actuators of ZEUS® Access Control to visualize events or to remotely control actions such as the opening of doors.

Access events are categorised. For each event type, the associated reactions are clearly definde. These may include, for instance, the display of action catalogues or the notification of certain persons by e-mail or push notification. Thus, the ZEUS® Security Monitor fulfils essential functions of a security control station.

Elements of the Security Monitor frequently required by the user, such as access areas, camera images, action catalogues and control elements, can be clearly arranged and easily accessed on personalized dashboard. The ZEUS® Security Monitor is supplied pre-installed on a Linux computer in a DIN rail mounting housing and, being preconfigured, ready for use with little effort. The ZEUS® Security Monitor communicates via a secure connection with all other ZEUS® modules like ZEUS® Access or ZEUS® keyless. Furthermore, visitor management is handled centrally in the ZEUS® Workforce Management system.

ZEUS® smartID

The booking and identification with the smartphone via Bluetooth enables the opening of rolling gates and entrances/exits from greater distances of up to 10 metres. ZEUS® smartID thus makes expensive "long range readers", which were previously used for this purpose, superfluous. All ISGUS readers for access control and the IT series for time and attendance are now available with Bluetooth.

The devices can therefore still be operated with transponders of the secured proximity method Mifare DESFire, but additionally work in connection with ZEUS® smartID via Bluetooth.

New Access Control Manager ACM 2051 and Access Reader IT 2100 for Access-on-Card

In the field of access control and access management, the new Access Control Manager ACM 2051 with connectable readers of the IT 2100 series complements the existing ISGUS portfolio. The new series is particularly interesting for users who are looking for an access-on-card solution on the outside of a building.

This means that the filling of access profiles for digital locking units on the transponder of the employees can now be implemented safely with the IT 2100 and does not require a device connected via the network, which would be critical in terms of data technology.
