Mobile identification is used wherever flexibility and speed are required. ZEUS® smartID complements traditional credentials and is actively used in hybrid working environments. These companies rely on digital identity in their daily operations.

The smartphone becomes a secure and centralized identification medium for time recording and access bookings with the ZEUS® smartID app. Employees record working hours, authenticate at terminals, and open doors, barriers, or gates directly via their mobile device. This makes the smartphone the most important digital key in everyday working life.
The ZEUS® smartID app is available for iOS and Android and integrates seamlessly into the existing ZEUS® system. Companies expand their existing infrastructure with a flexible, digital, and future-oriented booking option that meaningfully complements or, in many cases, replaces traditional credentials such as RFID badges or transponders.
In daily use, the added value becomes particularly clear. The smartphone is almost always available, meaning that lost or forgotten badges are no longer an issue.
Employees move seamlessly through buildings, production areas, or parking zones while identification is performed securely and unambiguously via Bluetooth technology directly at the ISGUS terminal.
Another advantage is the extended range and flexibility of the solution. Access points, roller doors, or parking systems can be conveniently controlled from a greater distance, often eliminating the need for additional hardware such as long-range readers. This not only increases convenience but also reduces infrastructure costs and enables a significantly more modern user experience across the entire organization.
The ZEUS® smartID app combines security, speed, and simplicity in a single solution, making digital access and time recording more intuitive than ever before.
The most secure form of identification is the unambiguous assignment of a person. With the IT 8210 Face Recognition terminal, this identification is contactless, fast, and does not require any additional medium such as a badge or transponder.
The system operates with three cameras: two integrated full HD cameras and one infrared camera for liveness detection. This ensures precise and tamper-resistant recognition that reliably identifies authorized employees. Authentication takes less than one second and remains stable and reliable even under difficult lighting conditions or when wearing protective masks.
The facial recognition process is activated via an integrated motion sensor, which automatically starts recognition as soon as a person approaches the terminal. This enables particularly fast and convenient use in daily workflows.
The biometric solution also delivers very high security performance with an extremely low false acceptance rate of 1:1,000,000 and a recognition accuracy of 99.76 percent.
These values underline the high practical suitability of the system, especially in security-critical areas of the organization.
Another advantage lies in the centralized enrollment process. Biometric data is not captured directly at the terminal but in a structured way via the ISGUS Enrollment Kit in the office. This ensures that companies maintain full control over the entire registration process at all times and enables clean and secure data management.
In addition to facial recognition, fingerprint authentication remains a proven biometric method. As it is unique to each individual and stable over time, it provides an additional secure option for identification, particularly in sensitive areas or KRITIS environments.
The use of biometric terminals significantly increases identification security while at the same time reducing the need for physical credentials in daily operations.
RFID transponders and ID cards remain key components of modern time and access control systems. They enable fast, contactless, and reliable identification at all ISGUS terminals as well as at digital locking units in the ZEUS® keyless series.
The technologies used are based on highly secure standards such as Mifare DESFire or LEGIC advant, thereby meeting the highest requirements for data protection, tamper resistance, and system stability. This ensures unique and secure identification of employees across all areas of the company.
Beyond basic Access Control and Time and Attendance, these devices offer additional digital applications for everyday work. These include workflows, shift and project changes, information retrieval, and system-driven notifications displayed directly on the terminal. As a result, the terminals are increasingly becoming digital interfaces within the company that go far beyond traditional time-recording functions.
The ID cards can be customized and designed to match the corporate identity, which further strengthens internal identification. If lost, they can be quickly deactivated and replaced, ensuring a high level of security at all times and effectively preventing unauthorized use.
The strength of the ZEUS® solution lies in the combination of all modern identification methods. Companies can freely decide which credentials are used and combine them flexibly with one another.
This creates an end-to-end system that adapts to different working environments, from administration and production to high-security areas.
The intelligent booking technologies from ISGUS combine modern hardware with a centralized platform for time recording and access control within the ZEUS® system. Companies benefit from high flexibility, clear processes, and secure identification of all employees.
Whether mobile smartID, classic transponders, or biometric methods, all technologies integrate seamlessly and enable consistent digital recording of working times and access events.
This creates a future-proof foundation for greater security, efficiency, and transparency across all areas of the organization.
Yes, all time-tracking options are ideally suited for use in shift-based and manufacturing operations. They enable fast and reliable time tracking even with high employee turnover and support smooth operations in dynamic work environments.
Biometric terminals are particularly well-suited for companies with high security requirements. These include industrial companies, research institutions, KRITIS sectors, public institutions, and sensitive administrative areas. They offer a decisive advantage wherever unique and non-transferable identification is required.
If an RFID card is lost or stolen, it can be immediately deactivated in the system. This reliably prevents unauthorized use. At the same time, a new card can be quickly issued and assigned, allowing the employee to continue working without interruption.
ISGUS supports a wide range of modern authentication methods for time tracking and Access Control. These include RFID transponders and ID cards, biometric methods such as facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, as well as the ZEUS® smartID app for mobile use via smartphone. Companies can flexibly combine these methods and adapt them to their security and organizational structure.
