3G at the workplace » what means the new rule?

In Germany, the new 3G rule at the workplace takes effect form November 24th, 2021. This mean, all employees need to be vaccinated, recovered or tested. The requirements adopted by the federal and state governments in Germany, which apply up to and including March 19th, 2022, affect all employers and employees who enter a so-called workplace. To gain access to the workplace, a vaccination certificate, proof of recovery or a negative test result - if necessary in combination with an identity card - is required with immediate effect. Unvaccinated persons need a rapid test no older than 24 hours, a PCR test no older than 48 hours. Only home offices and working in vehicles are exempt from the rule. The respective employer is responsible for checking the 3G evidence before entering the workplace. Particularly strict rules apply to workers in the health and care sector. You must also be tested negative if you have been vaccinated or have recovered.
